Sheryl Hardin, Director of the Spiritual
Writer’s Association and author of Contacting God the Path to God
through Prayer will be speaking at Unity Church of Abilene, Sunday
August 5th at 11:00 am. She will host a workshop entitled
Developing a Quiet Mind Power Prayer Practice. “A quiet mind is essential
to hearing the still small voice within,” Ms. Hardin explains. According
to Ms. Hardin, anyone can reduce the chatter in their heads and quiet
their minds with the right focus. When asked why she developed this
method Ms Hardin replied, “So many people try meditation and quit after a
very short time because they just can’t focus. I learned that the key to
success was the ability to quiet the mind and create a tranquil inner
environment. When we battle for quiet it is impossible to find inner
tranquility. I teach quiet first so contemplation is possible.”
